An Apt start to Lohan revelry

Monday, May 14th 2007, 4:00 AM

Lindsay Lohan 's wild week of partying in New York began with a 4:30 a.m. stop at the club Apt the morning of Monday's Costume Institute Gala.

She was described as "barely able to speak" by one witness, who said: "She tried to pay a bouncer to have her own corner of the dance floor, but he just laughed at her. A few very well-known transvestites were also talking about a fun little bathroom trip they had with Lindsay."

A friend of Lohan, who went out with her posse later that night after the gala, said she was indignant about newspaper allegations of being caught on tape snorting cocaine.

"She said, 'I'm not stupid enough to do it in front of cameras,'" says the source.

"She also admitted that the only reason she went to rehab was to get people off her back." Lohan's rep described the remarks as "hurtful" and untrue.

Tuesday night she was out at Tenjune with toyfriend Callum Best, whom we were the first to tell you was holed up with her at the 60 Thompson Hotel.

Thursday night she checked out British band The Kooks at Irving Plaza; she met them on Wednesday taping David Letterman, before a hard night of partying at the Box.

And Lohan doesn't even turn 21 until July 2.

"She needs to stop soon," says the friend. "She's running right now on adrenaline, and she's going to burn out."

Not all are ecomaniacs

Not everyone on Michael Bloomberg 's team seems to be with him on his mission to green New York.

One enterprising woman in the Office of the Mayor (whose name we are withholding because we don't want to get her in trouble) has taken to adding personal catchphrases as part of her official e-mail signature.

One is "Stop Global Whining," a right-wing mantra used by those who think climate change is wussy liberal nonsense.

Given Mayor Bloomberg's recent eco-friendly initiatives, we wondered how he would feel about this message stamped on his own department's official e-mails.

A spokesman for hizzoner said: "The Mayor hires people from across the political spectrum, and he expects people to have views different from him and challenge him."

A downbeat Miller time

Is Sienna Miller the new Yoko Ono?

A snitch tells us members of her model-rocker boyfriend Jamie Burke 's band, Bloody Social, are getting a tad jealous that all the attention is going to the celebrity couple. The issue came up Thursday night at a meeting at the Gramercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar.

"The rest of the band is upset because no one talks about them - it's all about Jamie, and it's all because of Sienna," says the source. "Sienna was there to help smooth over the discussion."
